Twin Paths respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512. This policy describes how to report alleged copyright infringement of material stored at the direction of users across the entire Twin Paths platform, and our notice-and-takedown and repeat-infringer procedures.

How user-uploaded content works (context)

Users upload and direct the storage of content across several features of the Service. We act as a neutral service provider and record attribution for all uploads. We do not pre-screen uploaded content. We remove infringing material promptly upon a valid notice and terminate repeat infringers.

Content types covered by this policy include, but are not limited to:

For stickers specifically: when a user collects another user's sticker, the original uploader's attribution (owner_id) is preserved permanently. A takedown of an uploaded sticker propagates to remove all instances across every collection that contains it.

1. Reporting alleged infringement (Takedown notice)

If you own a copyright (or are authorized to act for the owner) and believe material on the Service infringes it, send a written notice to our Designated Agent (below) that includes all of the following (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)).

When reporting stickers, please include the sticker shortcode (:shortcode:) and the Lodge profile URL where it appears, so we can locate all instances across collections.

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the owner or authorized agent.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed (or a representative list if multiple works).
  3. Identification of the infringing material and information reasonably sufficient to locate it — please include the profile or page URL and the asset URL or sticker shortcode on our Service.
  4. Your contact information (name, address, telephone, email).
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

Note: incomplete notices may not be actionable. Knowingly materially misrepresenting that material is infringing can subject you to liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

2. Our response

Upon receiving a valid notice, we will expeditiously remove or disable access to the identified material and make a reasonable effort to notify the responsible user using the attribution records we maintain. We may forward your notice (including your identity) to that user.

For stickers: removal of an uploaded sticker automatically removes it from all user collections that contain it, via our database cascade policy.

3. Counter-notification

If your material was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the Designated Agent including (17 U.S.C. § 512(g)):

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the removed material and the location where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and telephone, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the U.S. federal district court for your address (or, if outside the U.S., any district in which we may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the complaining party or its agent.

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the material in 10–14 business days unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the activity.

4. Repeat-infringer policy

In appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, we will terminate the accounts/ access of users who are repeat infringers, including removing their uploaded content, Lodge profile data, and revoking upload privileges. We link all uploaded content to the responsible user via our attribution records to administer this policy across all content types (avatars, banners, media cards, wall posts, stickers, lodge bio content, and Oracle idol images).

For trademark, publicity/likeness, or other non-copyright complaints, contact djmccoy.gen@gmail.com with details; we evaluate and act on valid requests.

6. Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is posted here with its effective date.

  • [ ] Confirm takedown workflow covers all asset types: Oracle idol images (idol_image_provenance + takedown_status), Lodge avatars/banners/media (lucy-assets bucket paths), stickers (lodge_stickers DELETE cascades to lodge_sticker_collections), wall post attachments, lodge bio content.
  • [ ] Legal review of all three documents (ToS, Privacy, DMCA).
